Richard Karz is the producer/director
of "If Women Ruled the World: A Washington Dinner
Party," a two-hour documentary special that was
released nationally by PBS in March 2002, sponsored
by BellSouth Corporation. “If Women Ruled the
World” is the story of a VIP dinner that took
place in the landmark Russell Senate Caucus Room on
Capitol Hill with 19 diverse women trailblazers. The
program includes Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor,
Betty Friedan, college presidents Judith Shapiro and
Ruth Simmons, General Claudia Kennedy, Senator Kay Bailey
Hutchison, Alek Wek, Jane Goodall, Madeleine Albright,
Faith Ringgold, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sally Quinn, Janet
Reno, Queen Noor, Liv Ullmann, Martha Stewart, and Angelina
Jolie, among others.
